Mary Rose "Anita" DesJardins, 79, of 8 Snow Road, Winchester, died Thursday at
Harborside Healthcare-Applewood in Winchester.
She was born in
Providence, RI, June 10, 1920, daughter of Oscar and Floreida (Beland) Helie,
was raised in Keene, and lived in Keene until moving to Winchester about 20
years ago.
Mrs. DesJardins worked for 14 years at Homstead Woolen Mills
in West Swanzey; before that, she was a 20-year employee at Troy Mills, Inc.
Survivors include three sons, Daniel L. Talbot of Sullivan, Ronald J. Talbot
of Henniker and Gary E. Talbot of Keene; a brother, Norman Helie of Roxbury; a
sister, Elaine Britton of West Swanzey; 10 grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday at
9 a.m. at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 33 Marlboro St., Keene. Burial will follow
in St. Joseph Cemetery, Keene.
Friends may call at the funeral home
tonight from 7 to 9.
The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers,
contributions be made in Mrs. DesJardins' memory to the St. Vincent de Paul
Society, 173 Main St., Keene 03431.
